Who I AM

My photo
Hello everyone, I am 23 years old and a Physical Education. I graduated from SUNY CORTLAND upstate New York. I am currently getting my masters in HPER at Emporia State University in Kansas.I currently work at Malverne High School as a leave replacement for physical education. I also teach 1 health and physical education class at the middle school for their district. I love volleyball and I am very competitive. I like challenges and being pushed to my limits. I've done some amazing DVD workouts such as Insanity and Insanity Asylum and P90X2. They can change your physical appearance tremendously. Your results are based on what you give in, how much you will push yourself, how much pain you can take and keep pushing knowing it will only benefit you. How much sweat are you willing to sweat? I believe that every person in this world can make a difference in a positive way, my way is by teaching. This blog is mainly from my undergraduate degree but I tend to add more post as I continue my career.

Act of Valor

4 months later after my huge anticipation for the Navy SEAL movie, "Act of Valor," It finally came out. This movie is about when the U.S go on a convert operation to rescue captured CIA officer, while also take down terrorist who aim to attack America. This movie was an eye catching one. I sat in my seat with my eyes wide open anticipating non stop action from start to finish. I did not even want to blink because I did not want to miss a second of this. Valor means strength of the mind or spirit that allows a person to encounter danger with firmness. In my eyes these SEALS received the highest award of valor. They travel in squads of 5-8 and go against 100s of enemies. They were very quick, stealthy and very confident. They were trained professionals to the max. One reason this movie amazing me was because it opened my eye to all the highly advanced technology we have in this world. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), also referred to as a Drone is a piece of equipment they used to track down all the suspects in the given area. This is usually remote controlled as in this movie it was. It was amazing that the Seals knew where all the terrorist were when they were on the ground by looking at a computer like gadget that boxed off where they were. They immediately attacked them from all different angles and took them out accordingly. With the help of this technology it made the SEALS mission a lot easier, but still one that is extremely dangerous. I am amazed with this technology because it is just incredible how all every usually runs smoothly because of their in depth scenario training. After seeing this movie, I appreciate technology much more than I did before. As a future educator I want to be physically fit like these SEALS. The training that the SEALS complete is insane. They are so strong physically and mentally. They all demonstrate bravery, courage, heart, and know the meaning of brother hood. Each of them would give up their lives for each other at any moment. I can not wait to see this movie again. Are you as brave as a SEAL, are you mentally strong like they are?
