Who I AM

My photo
Hello everyone, I am 23 years old and a Physical Education. I graduated from SUNY CORTLAND upstate New York. I am currently getting my masters in HPER at Emporia State University in Kansas.I currently work at Malverne High School as a leave replacement for physical education. I also teach 1 health and physical education class at the middle school for their district. I love volleyball and I am very competitive. I like challenges and being pushed to my limits. I've done some amazing DVD workouts such as Insanity and Insanity Asylum and P90X2. They can change your physical appearance tremendously. Your results are based on what you give in, how much you will push yourself, how much pain you can take and keep pushing knowing it will only benefit you. How much sweat are you willing to sweat? I believe that every person in this world can make a difference in a positive way, my way is by teaching. This blog is mainly from my undergraduate degree but I tend to add more post as I continue my career.

The Weather Is A Bummer

Sitting in class starring out the window, it looks like there is no one on campus. Barely any cars driving by, barely anyone walking around and definitely no one playing sports or doing activities. This is all because of the cold weather. In Cortland the weather is very cold especially around this time of the year, and it doesn't help that all it does is snow. It is upsetting because the cold weather is the reason why most students lack physical activity. I told myself that this semester I would go running outside 4 times a week but the weather restrained me . I do not want to be bundled up to the point where I can barely move and still be cold. I am involved in club and intramural sports so I am active daily. Some students do not do anything since they do not get to experience the nice weather outside. Our campus is a whole different place when the weather is nice. I feel like if I went down south to Florida, all the students would be outside enjoying the weather. When the weather here is nice it is interesting to see the other 5,000 students, that did not do anything all winter long, outside playing sports and getting involved in different activities. Most of the girls are even tanning to absorb some of the sunshine. I personally believe that this school should have more indoor facilities for the students to use. All our indoor facilities now are occupied first priority to varsity sports, then club sports, and then intramural. If a student who is not involved in any of these wants to go play around, they will be really lucky if they find an open facility. Get out and be active! Don't let anything so feeble as the weather stop you! What are you doing today to be physically active?
